On 11 July 2026, Nanma Charitable Foundation launched a comprehensive year-long rural development initiative in Vehloli village, Shahapur Taluka, Thane District, Maharashtra. Building on years of work with underprivileged communities across Mumbai and Maharashtra's tribal regions, the initiative aims to improve the quality of life and learning opportunities for children in underserved rural communities.
The project covers 10 tribal villages across Vehloli, Asangaon, and Shahapur, benefiting 354 students through a structured six-phase programme focused on education, healthcare, nutrition, environmental sustainability, and school infrastructure. Located approximately 85 kilometres from Mumbai, the region continues to face challenges such as low literacy levels and school dropouts. Through this initiative, Nanma aims to create healthier, safer, and more supportive learning environments for children.
